Stay 03:56
Silhouettes on all the walls, moonlight and curtain calls. Darlin' won't you stay with me? from way up there it seems so free. Stayin' up and getting lost, campfires turn to frost. I.....I...... Cigarettes and your old friends, laugh until we start again. Take a dive in that swimming pool, promise me you'll be a fool. They sell those things like liberty, if only it was you and me. I...I... Alleyways and parking lots, you never knew it was my fault. Memories of a wooden house, you stole me like somebody else. You're playing games and getting old, doing things that you weren't told. I...I... You pray for heaven out of fear, but love we're already here. And darlin' if you never sleep, your very life will be a dream.

Whisk me away, from here and we can travel the stars We can go on a space ship, to Mars. Watching from up above as the planets spin round and round, happy that we got out of that crazy little town. Everyone needs someone to love, everybody needs comfort and everybody needs somebody. everyone needs someone to love. Come, with me on a journey across the stars Eleanor, we've got to get on out of here. Whisk me away, from here and we can travel the stars. We can go on a space ship, to Mars. Watching from up above as the planets spin round and round, happy that we got out of that crazy little town Everyone needs someone to love, everybody needs comfort and everybody needs somebody. Everyone needs someone to love. Everyone needs someone to love, everybody needs comfort and everybody needs somebody. Everyone needs someone to love.

You with your silver skin your nine lives, your cat eyes and you've seen and done it all, but darlin' where have you done? Where did the times go? 'Cause I'm bleedin' out. And I'm scared. I guess that you left me to rot, in the coffin you're placing me. You with your leopard dress your hair's a mess and I'm not impressed and you've been down and out 'cause darlin' we're starving. You threw it away, those three words that meant the world and you've sullied yourself, 'cause darlin', you can't help yourself. Where did the times go? 'Cause I'm bleedin' out. And I'm scared. I guess that you left me to rot, in the coffin you're placing me.

When We Met 04:29
On the first day we met, you were drinking wine and told me to forget. On the last day we met, I had my frights and I told you to run away. On the first day of my life, I had nothing good and you had everything I wanted. On the last day of my life, you ran so damn far that I had forgotten who you are. Well I ran up the hill, like I was after something. Oh I ran through the airport, like I was out to die, oh I was looking for your brown hair and your bright brown eyes. On the first day of spring, you were with a man and you were clutching his hand tight. On the last day of winter, you were on the sidewalk soaked in your own tears. On the first day of fall, we were holding hands and we were standing on the ground alone. On the last day of summer, you told me that you loved me, but I realized too late. Well I ran up the hill, like I was after something. Oh I ran through the airport, like I was out to die, oh I was looking for your brown hair and your bright brown eyes. Well I ran up the hill, like I was after something. Oh I ran through the airport, like I was out to die, oh I was looking for your brown hair and your bright brown eyes.

Who are you, are you my whiskey queen? From the bottom of my bottle up, to my wretched mind. Where are we, are we on deathrow, love? 'Cause they caught us in the back with an ace up our sleeve. Got to run from my country blues and I'm running from you. Who are you, are you my savior, love? Or another puff of poison up, to my rotten lungs? Where are we, are we in heaven, love? Or another lost city in the dark, where we run and fight? Got to run from my country blues and I'm running from you. Got to run from my country blues and I'm running from you. Got to run from my country blues and I'm running from you. Who are you, are you my whiskey queen? From the bottom of my bottle up, to my wretched mind. Who are you, are you my savior, love? Or another puff of poison, up to my rotten lungs? Got to run from my country blues and I'm running from you. Got to run from my country blues and I'm running from you. Got to run from my country blues, got to run from my country blues and I'm running from you. Who are you, are you my cobra queen? So pull the trigger and kill me with some bullets and steam.

Tell my mom that I went to Chicago, tell her that I spent all my money. Tell my friends that I went up to heaven, tell them that I just couldn't breathe Earth's air. And if they really want to know, they can come with me. Tell my dad that I went to New Orleans, tell him that I found myself a woman. Tell my wife that I went to the planets, tell her that I'll bring her back a picture. And if they really want to know, they can come with me. And if they really want to know, they can come with me. Tell my God that I'm in San Francisco, to stare at the shore and get my mind straight.

Voodoo Doll 04:06
This woman knows I'm a voodoo doll, with her beautiful looks she can charm us all. Why do I love you, why am I so connected? How do you say it, how do you whisper in my ear? How do you save me, save me with all your loving? This woman knows I'm a voodoo doll, with her beautiful looks she can charm us all. She's got your picture on the wall, she's got your picture on the wall she's got your picture on the wall, she's got your picture on the wall she's got your picture on the wall, she's got your picture on the wall, she's got your picture on the wall, she's gonna burn them all. She's got your picture on the wall, she's got your picture on the wall, she's got your picture on the wall, she's gonna burn them all. She's got your picture on the wall, she's got your picture on the wall she's got your picture on the wall, This woman knows I'm a voodoo doll, with her beautiful looks she can charm us all. Tearing down these photographs one by one, with her beautiful looks she can charm us all. Tearing down these photographs one by one, This woman knows I'm a voodoo doll, with her beautiful looks she can charm us all.

I wanna smoke a cigar, and forget about you. Puff away the day. You can say that I'm guilty, or that I'm in love. Run away and think. Cos darlin', you've killed yourself. With your sick pride and a rope. I am your oldest friend the man from the moon, the man painted red. I am the ghost that you hate. Who'll keep you awake, I'll love you the same. I am the man from the stage. The one that you loved, as they cheered you away. I wanna sail on the ocean and never see you. Look back at the sand. I wanna pack my guitar, and come running home. Feed you your pills. I wanna come into that old house where you used to live, why's your body so cold? I am your oldest friend. The man from the moon, the man painted red. I am the ghost that you hate. Who'll keel you awake, I'll love you the same. I am the man from the stage. The one that you loved, as they cheered you away. I am your oldest friend. The man from the moon, the man painted red. I am the ghost that you hate. Who'll keel you awake, I'll love you the same. I am the man from the stage. The one that you loved, as they cheered you away. Puff away the day.

Child 04:24
We were just cops, playing kingpin In a state that has no laws. We were just five, playing poker with a lighter and some comic books. You were the girl from across the street, who taught me how to ride my bike. We were just ten, playing runaways, when your mom came bursting in. We put on coats and got in the car. drove for hours but we didn't get far. Our legs are too short, but we like to pretend, on a trip to the back-drop lands. Why would you choose if you had such time? There's no reason you should do it all. Buckle up, and don't look back, we'll be fine if we improvise. We were just kids, painting billboards with our names and a bucket of blue. You had a smile, we talked about getting kids and a teaching degree. Moving out, to the city or wherever the hell it rains. We were eighteen, playing music collecting dollars and a couple of dimes. I had a car, it barely ran we were old enough this time. You brought your CDs, Neil Young and Queen, there's no reason you should do this alone. Why would you choose if you had such time? There's no reason you should do it all. Buckle up, and don't look back, we'll be fine if we improvise.

You wear a white dress and red converse, like you're trying to bring something back. You look at photographs of the future, wishing it was the past. I think of you... I think of you... I think of you You sit in the car and you sing along to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones We stay up late till the morning, talking on the telephone. I think of you... I think of you... I think of you What if I told you that you're, the girl I love? What if I said that we could be happy and live just like we're young? What if I said you're the girl I love? One, two, think of you... think of you... think of you... think of you... think of you... think of you of you, think of you.

I wanna grow up, and sail to the moon. I wanna capture a star, send it to you. But mama, I'm dry. Mama, I'm dry. I wanna grow up, and conquer the world. We can make it ours, make love and run. Sister, I'm gone. Sister I'm gone. I was brave, I was scared We stole a car and drove towards Mexico. I was lost, I was gone, We found a house and lived there for a couple of years I just ran, I just ran, I just ran away Mama, I'm dry. Mama, I'm dry. Sister, I'm gone. Sister, I'm gone.

We're all just sinking, into the ocean. That they gave us, to drown us out. We're all just burning, just like the steeple, you placed so high, on the mountain. We're all just starving, just like the animals stuck in the jungle, so we'll make it ours. I saw you soar, just like an eagle, Straight through the valley, and the river. A light, A light... We're all just rusting, just like machinery. set into motion, like it matters Hell has its fury, just like the angels burning my dignity, and the sorrow. A light, A light... We're all just falling, into the ashes, time taken quickly, and I followed, tell me a story, smoke all your money tell me your life, like it matters. A light, A light... We're all just people, stuck in the times, ready to burn out, and shine bright.
